COX - Gary Merton Cox, 67, went to be with God, Friday, July 30, 2010. Born and raised in Hartford, CT, where as a young man he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Gary moved to the Kissimmee area in 1969, where later in life he became an avid golfer and bowler.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Barbara, sons, William Merton Cox (Angela), Robert John Cox (Tammi), brother; Alan Cox (Maureen), sister;, Patricia Lee Page, grandsons; William Kyle Cox (Tara) and Ryan Merton Cox, granddaughter Kasey Janel Cox, mother-in-law; Elizabeth Baustien, brothers-in-law; Dominic Sorgio, Glenn Sorgio (Toni), Guy Sorgio (Denise), sister-in-law Dawn Grady (Peter) and several nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his parents Merton and Ruth Cox and Aunt and Uncle Vincent and Doris Vella.
A memorial service to celebrate Gary’s life is scheduled for Friday, August 6th at 11:00 a.m. at Grissom Funeral, 803 Emmett Street Kissimmee, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Samaritan Care Hospice, 1200 N Semoran Boulevard, Suite 210, Orlando, FL, 32807.
A special thanks to Nellie Conley from Samaritan Care Hospice, Mark Gabel who gave Gary spiritual guidance, Dr’s Leroi Price and Muhammad Khan for the loving care you showed Gary and daughter-in-law Angela who helped the family so much during a most difficult time.

 

DavisJuneDAVIS - Marjorie “June” Davis, Age 82, Kissimmee, FL, died August 1, 2010.  Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she moved to Kissimmee in 1958. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church.  Survivors: Husband Amos “Gordon,” Sons Joseph Buscher III of St. Petersburg, FL and Robert (Paula) Buscher of Acworth, GA, Daughter Colleen Salvage of Orlando, FL, Granddaughters Tammie (Jon) Lindsey, Tara (Brian) Borell, and Rene (Ryan) Shirley, Grandsons Blake and Nathan Buscher, Great Grandsons Adam Fosson, Jonathan and Trent Lindsey, and Allen James “AJ” Borell, Great Granddaughters Samantha and Alexis Lindsey, Sisters Gloria Miller and Edith “Jeanie” Allen both of Baltimore, three nephews and six nieces. 
Viewing Wednesday, August 4th 6-8 p.m. at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home and services will be Thursday, August 5th, 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Callen officiating.  Interment to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Kissimmee.

FOLLETT - Donald L. Follett, 76 of Kissimmee, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 31, 2010 with his family by his side. He was born in Kewanee, Illinois and moved to Kissimmee in 1981 from Ft. Huachuca, Arizona. He was a retired Sergeant First Class in the United States Army and a veteran of Viet Nam. Donald was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Kissimmee, Masonic Lodge 665 of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and the American Legion Post 10, Kissimmee. He loved Trains, Puzzles, Eagles, Fishing, Cruises and reading the Bible.
Donald is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Alice of Kissimmee, sons: David Follett of Las Vegas, NV, Larry Mercer of Orlando, FL, and Donald Mercer of St. Cloud, FL.; daughters: Debbie Creigo of Alliance, OH, Sandra Florin of Apple Valley, CA, Kathy Rommell of Melbourne, FL, Rebecca Wilson of Kissimmee, FL and Ok "Pat" Clark of San Jose, CA., 20 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Masonic Ritual conducted by Memorial Lodge # 17 at 7:00 p.m.. A Service to Celebrate the Life of Donald L. Follett will be held on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 101 West Dakin Ave., Kissimmee, with Pastor Bob Wooten officiating. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida where Donald will receive Military Honors. SCOTT - Fred L. Scott, 88, a resident of Solivita, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010. He was born in Lynchburg, VA on March 2, 1922 to the late Fred and Juanita (Reed) Scott. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife Elsie (Groff) Scott of 54 years and a son Jimmy Scott.
He served in the Pacific in World War II. and was a successful body repair business owner in Baltimore, MD. He retired in 1972 and later moved to Florida where he resided for 26 years. Fred was a member of the Patmos Lodge #070 for 50 years and served as Past Master.
He is survived by a son Michael B. Scott and his wife Carolyn of St Cloud, FL and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held August 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Conrad & Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mitch Edwards Officiating. www.conradandthompson.com


SherberthAlmaSHERBERTH - Alma Helena Marie Schroeder Sherberth, 95, went to be with the Lord July 7, 2010, in the Kissimmee Good Samaritan Health Care Center.  She was born February 3, 1915 in Ulm, Arkansas to Carl and Emma (Hosto) Schroeder.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wesley and brothers Harvey, Raymond and Bob Schroeder.  She is survived by a son  John W. Sherberth (Sandra) of Batesville, Arkansas; grandchildren Eric,Rachel and Bobbie; stepdaughter Wenona (Sherberth) Pedeschi, Bosrah, Conn.
Trained as a nurse, she served proudly in the Navy Nurse Corps during WWII, retiring as a Lt. Commander.  When they moved to Kissimmee in the early 1960's, Wesley and Alma had a cattle and citrus farm on property later to become part of the Walt Disney World Resort.   She was a nurse at the former Medical Center Kissimmee and Chaplain for the Good Samartian ViIllage Veterans.
A lifelong Lutheran Christian, Ms. Sherberth was a very faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church & School, Kissimmee, serving on the Church Council and as Chair.  For years she was a leader among central Florida Lutheran Church women and Church Women United.  She served on the Board of Directors of Lutheran
Services Florida and generously supported nursing education at Capital University and theological education at Trinity Lutheran Seminary, both of Columbus, OH., and Lutheran programs of ministry locally, statewide, and
nationally.
Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church & School, 3016 W.
