Osceola County Superintendent Michael A. Grego encourages all parents and students to attend their school’s upcoming open house in order to best prepare for classes to resume Aug. 23. Osceola public schools will hold Open Houses according to the following schedule:
Aug. 18 — All Osceola middle school students will have their open houses from 4 to 7 p.m.
Aug. 19 — All Osceola high school and all New Beginnings students will have their open houses from 4 to 7 p.m.
Aug. 20 — All Osceola elementary school students will have their open houses from 3 to 6 p.m.
In place of a traditional open house event, The Osceola County School for the Arts (OCSA) will host its annual opening of school gala Aug. 19 beginning at 6 p.m. in the school’s theater. OCSA students and their parents are invited to attend presentations from the school’s arts and academic departments. The school will also have an open house Sept. 14 at 6 p.m.
“By scheduling our open house events on different days and during the late afternoon/evening hours, the district provides an opportunity for all parents and students to attend in anticipation of an outstanding school year,” Grego said.
