Colon-Conde

Kissimmee police July 26 arrested 42-year-old Enrico Colon-Conde, of 5120 Pam Road, Kissimmee, for two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation on a victim under 12-years-old.

On July 25 at approximately 4 p.m., officers responded to Lakefront Park in Kissimmee in reference to a complaint of lewd and lascivious activity. When officers arrived, a witness told the officers a group of people had detained a man who touched a few girls inappropriately at the playground.

Officers observed an older man walking toward them holding the arm of a Hispanic man in a straw hat, who was the suspect.

Officers took custody of the man, later identified Colon-Conde, and placed him in the patrol car away from the crowd. Officers talked with a witness who stated that she was at the park with her daughter, her friend and her friend’s daughter and that while watching the children play, she noticed Colon-Conde approach her friend’s 5-year-old daughter.

According to the witness, Colon-Conde helped the 5-year-old up onto the slide platform and then started to push the child down the slide. As he did, the witness noticed the suspect touch the child inappropriately. She then witnessed Colon-Conde approach her child. The witness yelled and Colon-Conde walked toward two other young girls.

Officers then spoke with another person who was at the park with his 10- and 11-year-old granddaughters. That person reported that both his granddaughters told him about a strange man that asked them if they wanted to play.

The 10-year-old told her grandfather that Colon-Conde inappropriately touched her on her buttocks, breast and arm area. The grandfather and members of a church group he was with searched the park area, found the suspect and detained him until police arrived. When officers talked with Colon-Conde he denied touching the children inappropriately. As officers explained what the parents were accusing him of, Colon-Conde stated it could have been possible that he did touch them accidentally while playing with them. Colon-Conde told officers that he suffers from schizophrenia.

Colon-Conde was arrested on two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation and was transported to the Osceola County Jail, where he was being held on no bond.
