Rotary announces officers

The Rotary Club of Lake Nona announces its 2010-11 slate of officers and committee chairs.
New positions are: president, Julie Johnson, Sanford-Burnham Institute; vice president, Michael Valenzuela, Wells Fargo Bank; president-elect, James Twedt, Senior Life Services; treasurer, James Counihan, Sheraton Suites Orlando Airport; secretary, Michael Haldavnekar, Ardaman and Associates Inc.; and sergeant at arms, Bea Kocheiser, Solantic Walk-In Urgent Care.
Committee chairs include Lucy Williams, club administration; Mary Ann Sheriff, membership; Kathy Pierson, public relations; Kathy Huson, service projects; and Javed Mirza, Rotary Foundation.
The Rotary here was started in October 2009. On May 29, the Rotary Club was officially chartered by Rotary International as the Rotary Club of Lake Nona.
“The Rotary Club of Lake Nona is the area’s first charted service club and we look forward to becoming an integral component of this community,” Julie Johnson, president, said. “We are looking for men and women with integrity who would like to join in making a difference in our community and who call Lake Nona home.”
