On Friday, July 2, the Association of Poinciana Villages held an Independence Day celebration in front of the veterans memorial at 401 Walnut St. Victoria Wilson, a five-year member of the Naval Sea Cadets, presents a folded flag to World War II Army and Navy veteran Charles Waters, who has been a member of the Poinciana Veterans Club since the group's inception.

Army veteran Barry Barufaldi bugles "Taps" at the conclusion of the ceremony.

Frank Rivera, a  Marine Corps veteran who served from 1958-62, carries the flag past a crowd at the event.
