A Kissimmee man was arrested early Wednesday morning and charged with attempting to bribe Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputies after a traffic stop on State Road 530 near Seralago Boulevard.

The driver, Jonathan Figueroa, 22, of 4617 Doral Park Ave., Kissimmee, was observed driving 15 to 20 miles below the speed limit and used his blinker to turn into the bus stop entrance before proceeding onto State Road 530 without making a turn.

While talking to Figueroa, deputies could smell what they believed was alcohol on his breath and observed an alcoholic container in the vehicle. Figueroa told deputies he had a few beers.

Deputies arrested Fig-ueroa for driving with a suspended license. While in the back of the patrol car, Figueroa said to the deputy, “Hey, if you let me go and forget what happened tonight, I’ll give you and your partner $500 cash each,” according to Sheriff’s Office reports. Figueroa was charged with driving while license suspended and bribery. He was taken to the Osceola County Jail.
