On June 17, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputies with the Community Response Team located a grow house at 3150 Stonington Run, Kissimmee, and arrested three suspects.

Melanie Vega, 24, Marcos Geovanny Martinez, 22, and Oliver Urena, 38, were charged with manufacturing cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to sell, possession of cannabis over 20 grams, theft of utilities and grand theft. In addition, Vega was charged with possession of ecstasy pills.

The investigation began when Community Response Team deputies received an anonymous tip that the residence might be involved in illegal drug activity. At the residence, deputies observed two large air conditioning units outside the house and wires outside that did not appear to be professionally installed.

Inside, deputies located three marijuana a plants that were 4 feet tall, eight plants that were 1 foot tall and 40 plants about 6 inches tall. Deputies also found fertilizer and carbon dioxide tanks.

Vega and Urena live at the Stonington home while Martinez’s address is 5124 S.W. 137th Terrace, Miramar.
