Carlo named St. Cloud’s Employee of the Month

St. Cloud Police Department computer technician Gary Carlo is the city of St. Cloud April Employee of the Month. He was recognized May 27 during a regular council meeting at City Hall.
Carlo is SCPD’s only laptop technician and his duties include troubleshooting and resolving mobile, desktop, software and hardware issues for approximately 140 employees. He also is the liaison between the police department and the city’s Information Technology department.
“Gary recently installed 30 laptops and all the necessary programs in a timely manner, making them serviceable for police officers,” Public Safety Answering Point Manager Mike Cortez said. “Since Gary is the only person in his unit, he is always on call. He is often called in at night and on weekends or contacted at home for help with emergency operations that require his attention. Gary answers the calls without hesitation and responds immediately to resolve the issues that arise. Gary’s skills, willingness, and ‘can do’ attitude make him an asset to the city of St. Cloud and our citizens.”
Carlo has been a City of St. Cloud employee for four years.
