There is still time to register your child for the Osceola County Historical Society’s Pioneer For A Day camp, in which campers between the ages of 8 and 12 learn about pioneering life in the 1800s and aspects of Florida’s history while experiencing the authentic settings of the society’s 4-acre Pioneer Village and 8-acre nature preserve.
Pioneer For A Day is comprised of three “themed” daylong sessions: June 24 – Homesteading, July 22 – Cracker Culture and Aug. 12 – Florida’s Nature. Parents may register their children for any or all three sessions. And while enrollment for each session is kept to a small number of children to assure a quality experience for each child, there are still a few spaces available.
Registration is $30 per session and if registering more than one child in a household, each additional child is $15.
Registration forms can be downloaded from the OCHS website at www.osceolahistory.com or call the OCHS office at 407-396-8644.
