A resident of The Oaks was arrested for burglarizing his neighbor's home while she slept and stealing her Xbox, Osceola County Sheriff's Office detectives reported.

Steven Andrew Harrison, 21, 1709 Big Oak Lane, Kissimmee, also faces drug charges for marijuana that detectives saw in his home while investigating the missing game console.

The victim, who lives on the same street as Harrison, called for help June 2, after she awoke to a noise in the living room. She saw a man she didn't know on the sofa. He fled out the back sliding glass door when he saw her. The victim also reported her Xbox had been stolen.

The investigation led detectives to Harrison, with whom they met at his home. They asked if he had any electronics in his house. Harrison took them to his bedroom and gave them an Xbox under his bed. The serial number matched that of the stolen Xbox from the victim's house. Marijuana and several marijuana plants also were observed in the house.

Detectives interviewed Harrison, who said he was dating the victim and she gave him permission to take the Xbox. The victim denied the claim.

Harrison was booked into the Osceola County Jail for burglary to an occupied dwelling, possession of marijuana under 20 grams and drug paraphernalia and cultivation of marijuana.
