Anabell Santa was selected Veteran of the Year by the Osceola County Veterans Council in April at the annual Osceola County Veterans Council Dinner. She was recognized for her work as a veterans counselor and her efforts in obtaining benefits for homeless veterans, veterans and their dependents. She served as a military police officer in the U.S. Army from March 6, 1986, to Feb. 24, 1989, in Germany.
