The St. Cloud Heritage Museum has a new cherry display case provided by the Sons of the Union Veterans. Displayed are the following items:
• Minutes of the first GAR (Grand Army of the Republic) meeting in St Cloud in 1913. This group was named the Lucius Mitchell Camp.
• Tickets for the GAR benefit show 1920-1930.
• Several rare medals and ribbons.
• A photo of John McElroy and his biography.
• Old letters from 1903-36.
Arrangements may be made for groups or individuals to visit the museum. Call 407-892-9158.
There is a great deal of history now housed in the museum contributed by many of the current and former St. Cloud residents with new items added every week.
Do not throw out old papers and photos. Bring them to the museum or call 407-957-7587.
