Downtown Disney D Street is the headquarters for Vinylmation figures

Add one more collectible for Disney fans — the Vinylmation figures have arrived.
The colorful “vinyls” are the number one attraction at the newest shop at Downtown Disney, D Street.
Vinylmation's vinyl figures have been around for about a year, Disney officials said at the opening of the new shop recently. But this is the first time the collectibles have their own location.
Perfect for trading – and some people already have 100 or more figures in their collection – the vinyl figures come in various sizes, including mini-key chains and three-inch and nine-inch figures. Artists decorate these three dimensional canvases with unique themes, such as sports and Muppets. They can be bought in themed sets or individually.
Or, you can decorate your own vinyl at a table made of the small version of the figures with a variety of colorful Sharpie pens.
In addition, also showcased are one-of-a-kind artist figures varying in price from around $300 to $1,000 and more.
There also are “mystery editions” of the vinyl figures found in some of the sets.
In addition to the Vinylmation figures, D Street offers hip apparel for men and women. The store has an unfinished “industrial look” with oversized props above and on the floor. If the chairs look familiar, you probably have seen them before; they used to be in the Adventurers Club in Pleasure Island. Other props from the Disney parks can be seen at the store as well.

Question of the Week

Are the theme park tickets too expensive these days?
