UPDATE:
Detectives ask public's help in identifying a person of interest, who drove an individual with knowledge of the homicide to the hospital the night of the crime. He is described as a black male and might possibly be driving a red pickup truck.

Osceola County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested several suspects linked to a May 11 homicide case where authorities found a shooting victim on Old Tampa Highway.

Suspects arrested were Jeremy S. Rodriguez, 24, of Central Islip, N.Y.; Jonathan Beharry, 23, of 484 Britten Drive, Poinciana; and Luis Angel Pagan Rodriguez, 39, of 2713 Eagle Glen Circle, Kissimmee.

On May 20, Sheriff's Office detectives, with help from the New York Police Department, arrested Beharry in New York. Beharry will be extradited to Florida to face murder charges.

The investigation began May 11 at about 6:30 p.m. when the Sheriff's Office received a call about a possible hit and run on Old Tampa Highway near State Road 532. When deputies arrived at the scene, it was determined the victim, Angel Luis Pagan, 39, was shot and his body was dumped in a ditch on the highway.

A short time after receiving the call, deputies responded to Osceola Regional Medical Center to speak with an alleged armed robbery victim. Deputies spoke with Pagan Rodriguez, a registered felon, who said that he was at Lake Tohopekaliga in Kissimmee when an unknown male suspect approached him, began choking him, demanded his watch and then shot him in the head. Pagan Rodriguez recovered from some minor injuries, but detectives later learned he fabricated the story and was connected to Pagan's death. Pagan Rodriguez was arrested for filing a false report and was in the Osceola County Jail at press time Wednesday.

The investigation revealed that both Pagan and Pagan Rodriguez were acquaintances with Beharry, who then became a suspect in Pagan's death. Beharry had fled on a plane to Trinidad. Detectives were able to track Beharry from Trinidad to Toronto. After Beharry left Toronto he was found in New York.

In addition, detectives arrested Jeremy Rodriguez in New York City and charged him with accessory after the fact to first-degree murder. Detectives have information that Jeremy Rodriguez was aware of the incident and assisted with discarding evidence. The investigation is ongoing with additional charges pending.
