The Osceola County Sheriff's Office arrested and charged a Kissimmee man with burglary after a couple came home to find him in their apartment.

On May 23 at about 1:14 p.m., Osceola County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the burglary call at a Montego Bay Boulevard apartment in Kissimmee.

Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the residents who reported that they returned home and found the suspect Angel Rivera, 23, of 239 Competition Drive, Kissimmee, hiding in the living room, according to Sheriff's Office reports.

They demanded that he leave their apartment and after looking around, noticed numerous personal items including electronics, a shotgun, a rifle, a machine gun and medication missing.

After deputies located Rivera, they found some of the medication in his pockets. Rivera is on probation for a previous charge of assault on a law enforcement officer.

He was arrested and charged with armed burglary, firearm theft, grand theft, possession of a machine gun without a license, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and violation of probation. He was booked into the Osceola County Jail without bond.
