Kissimmee police are looking for two suspects, armed with handguns, who tried to rob the Medina Bazaar Food Store but were fought off by the store owner Tuesday night.

The two suspects, both with handguns, entered the 611 W. Vine St. store as the owner and his wife were closing up, reported Kissimmee police, who responded to the scene at around 8:45 p.m. The owner tried to grab the handgun from one of the suspects. He fought the man off and the second suspect was unable to obtain any money from the owner's wife.

Both suspects fled in a bright red, two-door sports car, heading east on U.S. Highway 192, said the victims, neither of which was injured during the altercation.

They described the suspects as black males between 18 and 20 years old, with thin builds. They were wearing tight black ski masks with openings for their eyes and mouths, all black clothing and carrying silver-colored handguns. The vehicle could possibly be a 1996 to 1998 Chevrolet Camaro.

Anyone with information on the suspects can contact the Kissimmee Police Department's major crimes unit at 407-846-3333, by e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or anonymously through Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
