An Orlando motorcyclist was killed as a result of a crash with a van in front of Austin-Tindall Regional Park Sunday morning.

Loyd Scott, 61, of Orlando, died at Florida Hospital Kissimmee, where he was transported after the crash. According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, he was driving his Honda motorcycle east on Boggy Creek Road, near the intersection of Turnberry Boulevard that morning.

At around 9:20 a.m., his motorcycle crashed with a Ford van making a left turn into the park, at Turnberry Boulevard, from westbound Boggy Creek Road.

The front of the motorcycle hit the front passenger side of the van. Neither the driver of the van, Joseph Marek, 53, of Orlando, nor his passenger, 11-year-old Jenna Marek, were injured

The crash remains under investigation, with charges pending.
