A St. Cloud martial arts studio owner, who had just bonded out of jail after he was arrested by St. Cloud police for sexual battery, was arrested again May 6 by the Osceola County Sheriff's Office on similar charges after another victim came forward with allegations.

Arrested was John Thomas Durinick, 39, of 857 Chamberlin Trail, St. Cloud. Sheriff's Office detectives obtained a felony warrant for his arrest after a female victim came forward with sexual battery allegations. On April 26, John Emmons, owner of John Emmons Tae Kwon Do Martial Arts Studio, called the Sheriff's Office after the victim and her mother told him about an incident.

Detectives spoke with the victim, who at the time of the incident was 14-years-old. She told detectives that two years ago, Durinick had sexually assaulted her at the studio, 1050 Aeronautical Drive, the day of her promotions test. The victim said Durinick took her into a room alone and began talking to her about her testing and then began touching her inappropriately underneath her clothes. On May 6, detectives went to speak with Durinick at the Osceola County Jail, but he wouldn't talk with them.

As he was bonding out of the Osceola County Jail on previous sexual battery charges filed by the St. Cloud Police Department, the Sheriff's Office arrested him again based on the information provided by the victim. Durinick was charged with one count of sexual battery and was booked into the Osceola County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
