The Kiwanis Club of Kissimmee celebrated the 85th anniversary of its founding on April 10 with a dinner at Red Lobster. The club also participated in Earth Day at Babb Landing Park April 17 by selling hot dogs and cold drinks for 85 cents in honor of the club's anniversary.
Kiwanis is an international social service club dedicated to improving the world, one child at a time. The Kiwanis Club of Kissimmee provides $1,000 scholarships each year to Osceola County students, delivered 110 food boxes last Christmas and sponsored a Christmas party with dinner and gifts for 25 families of elementary school children.
Their next project is a fund the club’s raising golf tournament at Remington Golf Course on Saturday .
