Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputies on April 23 arrested two South Carolina residents who were chaperoning a party in the Kissimmee area where there was underage drinking.

At around 12:05 a.m., deputies responded to 2631 Daulby St. in reference to a loud party complaint. Upon arrival, deputies heard loud music and people talking near the back of the residence. As they approached the pool area, deputies observed several individuals with alcoholic beverages.

Deputies spoke with two adults – Phyllis Harvey, 62, of Hampton, S.C., and Lisa Bostick, 42, of Estill, S.C. – who said they were from Patrick Henry Academy in Estill, visiting the area on a school graduation trip.

After further investigation, deputies discovered the three individuals drinking alcoholic beverages were 17 and 18 years old. Harvey told deputies she purchased the alcoholic beverages for the students and allowed them to consume it under her supervision. Bostick told deputies she did not purchase the products, but knew the students were consuming it under her supervision.

Based on the information, deputies arrested Harvey and Bostick for open house parties and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. They were booked into the Osceola County Jail on $1,000 bond.
