Suspect

The Kissimmee Police Department is involved in the investigation of a West Virginia fraud case involving an eBay purchase.

On April 14, an investigator from the King Williams Sheriff’s Office in West Virginia contacted Kissimmee police about a fraud case, in which a victim attempted to purchase a John Deere tractor that was listed for sale on eBay for $2,300.

The victim sent a Western Union money order for payment for the tractor. When the victim did not receive the tractor, he contacted eBay as well as Western Union.

The investigator obtained information from Western Union indicating the money was picked up at the Publix at 3040 Dyer Blvd., in Kissimmee. The suspect used a fake passport from Norway and gave a fictitious address in Orlando, police stated.

Kissimmee detectives have received the surveillance tape of the suspect picking up the money and are working with King Williams Sheriff’s Office on the case.

Anyone with information about this suspect or the crime is asked to contact the Kissimmee Police Department’s property crimes division at 407-846-3333, by e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
