Alfonso Demeglio

Demeglio

Osceola County Sheriff's Office detectives on April 23 arrested Alfonso Demeglio, 25, of Poinciana, and charged him with filing a false report, providing a false statement and petit theft.

The investigation began April 3 at around 9:22 p.m. when deputies responded to NYPD Pizza at 1042 Cypress Parkway in Poinciana. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with Demeglio, who told deputies he was delivering a pizza to 918 Salerno Drive and was walking back to his car when he was approached by two unknown males who demanded money at gunpoint.

Demeglio told deputies the suspects fled with his wallet, which contained his driver license and cash. Deputies set up a perimeter but they were unable to locate any suspects.

After further investigation, detectives determined Demeglio used his driver license to cash his payroll checks and after searching his vehicle, they located his wallet.

Demeglio was brought in for questioning and cooperated with detectives. He was then arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail.
