PHS physicals
Poinciana High will have athletic physicals April 22 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria for athletes competing during 2010-11 school year.
The fee is $10. Students should report at 6 p.m. Doors close at 8 p.m. For further information, contact Janet Crespo at 407-870-4860, Ext. 03550.

Senior, Big League
Kissimmee Little League will hold registration for Senior League (ages 14-16) and Big League (ages 17-18) divisions at the Oak Street and Denn John fields from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
The season begins May 1 and runs through June 12. Fees are $75. Three proofs of residency and a birth certificate are required.

Tigers golf tourney
New Dimensions High School, the county's only charter high school, will hold a fundraiser golf tournament April 24 at Kissimmee Oaks Golf Club.
Entry fee for the 8 a.m. shotgun start is $75 per player or $250 per foursome, which includes greens fees and door prizes. Register by Saturday by calling NDHS Athletic Director Ryan Adams at 407-592-3028 or email adams@ newdimensionshs.com.

SC hoops clinic
The St. Cloud Parks and Recreation Department is holding registration at the St. Cloud Civic Center for the Youth Basketball Clinic April 24 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Civic Center, Gym B.
Children ages 7 to 15 are eligible. The fee is $20 for Osceola County residents and $30 for non-residents (these fees include a clinic t-shirt).
The Youth Basketball Clinic focuses on the basic fundamentals of basketball and individual skills. For information, call the St. Cloud Civic Center at 407-957-7243 or visit www.stcloud.org.

Harmony physicals
Harmony High will have physicals for all athletes, including incoming freshmen, participating during the 2010-11 school year April 21 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

VFW golf
The St. Cloud V.F.W. Golf Tournament is April 24 at Royal St. Cloud Golf Links.
The shotgun scramble begins at 8 a.m. The fee is $60; the field is limited to 60 players. Lunch, prizes and goodie bags are included.

KSA swimming
The Kissimmee Swimming Association is accepting new swimmers.
Swimmers must be at least age 5 who can swim freestyle and backstroke. KSA also is accepting swimmers age 18 or older for its masters program.

Storm wrestling
The Celebration Wrestling Club meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 to 5:30 p.m. in the high school wrestling room.

Shooter’s Gold camp
New Dimensions High School will host the Shooter’s Gold summer basketball camp June 21-24 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m for students entering grades 5-8 next school year.
The camp includes instruction, a T-shirt, breakfast and lunch.

SC Aquatic Team

American Tennis
The American Tennis Club (ATC) is accepting registration for children ages 12-under for its Quick Start Tennis Clinics. The USTA (United States Tennis Association) Quick Start Tennis is an entry level program for new players. Quick Start Tennis will be at the ATL complex at the Ramada Inn, 6375 U.S. Highway 192 (across from Celebration).

Pavement Pounders
The St. Cloud Pavement Pounders non-profit running club welcomes new members of all ages.
The club meets each Tuesday and Thursday at 6:15 p.m. at Dicey Reilly’s Pub and Eatery on New York Avenue, next to city hall. First time visitors are encouraged to visit on Thursdays.
Tuesday is an open night, where runners train at their discretion. The club hosts a structured 5K run/walk on Thursday. Walkers begin at 6:45 p.m.; runners begin at 7 p.m. Skill levels range from beginners to marathon runners.

Soccer lessons
Coach Hector, a former player and coach in Argentina, offers professional training for children ages 8-18 similar to the Argentina and Brazil minor league clubs. Call 407-933-2615.
Tennis league
The Osceola Tennis Network, a tennis league for fun and competition, meets Fridays at 6:30 p.m. at the Oak Street complex.
Also offered is USTA Junior Team Tennis, which meets Sundays at 4 p.m., and the Lady Slammers women’s league.

Water polo, diving
Youth ages 8-18 may join Toho Water Polo or Dive Osceola offered at the Makinson Aquatic Center in association with the Kissimmee Parks and Recreation Department.
No experience is necessary, but students must demonstrate swimming ability.

CenterState golf
The 2nd Annual Community Charity Golf Tournament presented by CenterState Bank is June 26 at Kissimmee Bay Country Club beginning with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
The fee is $65 per player; $260 per team. Proceeds benefit the St. Cloud Food Pantry and the Council on Aging Meals on Wheels program.
