Three men in Poinciana were jailed on armed robbery charges Sunday after reportedly taking money from victims at gunpoint.

Arrested were: Orlando Marcelo Torres Arroyo, 20, of 1009 Dartmoor Place, Poinciana; Orlando Jorel Quinones, 19, of 443 Prestwick Place, Poinciana; and Jual Luis Diaz-Catalan, 19, of Orlando.

Shortly after 7 a.m., Osceola County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to Hancock Bank, 860 Cypress Parkway, in reference to an armed robbery. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim, who said he was approached by an armed unknown male who demanded money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the area in a dark-colored vehicle.

Minutes later, deputies responded to a business in the Solivita Marketplace, 375 Cypress Parkway, a few miles away from the first incident. When deputies arrived, the victims said they also were approached by an armed suspect who demanded money and fled in a dark vehicle.

Patrol deputies responding to the area stopped a dark blue Honda Civic matching the description of the vehicle. The three suspects in the vehicle were taken into custody. Detectives found a gun in the vehicle and the victims were able to positively identify the suspects. Based on the information, the three men were charged with two counts of armed robbery, aggravated assault and petit theft. Diaz-Catalan was additionally charged with carrying a concealed firearm.

All three were booked into the Osceola County Jail.
