The Osceola County Sheriff's Office arrested a St. Cloud man Monday on numerous molestation counts after a teenager accused him of repeatedly touching her inappropriately.

David Carl Loftis, 42, a registered felon and sex offender, was charged with 29 counts of lewd and lascivious molestation and one count of domestic violence sexual battery after deputies responded to a St. Cloud residence and spoke with the 15-year-old victim. She said for the past month, Loftis had touched her inappropriately on numerous occasions, Sheriff's Office reports said.

The victim told deputies she was afraid to tell her family because Loftis was living with them at the time so she wrote a note, which was given to deputies. Loftis first admitted to the family that he did molest the teen, but when deputies questioned him, he denied the allegations, reports said. Based on the information, he was booked into the Osceola County Jail with no bond.

Loftis was convicted of lewd and lascivious molestation on a child under 16 in October of 1994.
