Suspect

Kissimmee police are searching for a battery suspect who reportedly attacked a convenience store clerk April 8 after the victim witnessed the man trying to steal an item from the store.

At about 3:15 p.m., the suspect was at the Citgo gas station, 3090 Michigan Ave., Kissimmee, when the store clerk confronted the suspect after he allegedly put an item into his pants. The clerk recovered the item, which led to an argument between the two, police reports said.

The suspect then punched the clerk in the face, breaking his nose, reports said. The suspect stumbled out of the store, as he appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and was driven away by a friend in a dark-colored Toyota Camry, possibly a navy blue 1998 or 1999 model, authorities said.

Anyone with information on the incident or the suspect is asked to contact the Kissimmee Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit at 407-846-3333, by e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS.
