The Orange Belt Conference boys and girls tennis championships are Celebration’s after both teams posted unbeaten conference records.
The Celebration boys clinched after a 7-0 decision over Poinciana last week, lifting their conference record to 6-0 and 8-3 overall. Tyler Young, at No. 2 singles, is unbeaten. The Storm finished second in 3A District 13 during the regular season with the district tournament upcoming Wednesday at 9 a.m. at Melbourne’s Fee Avenue Courts. The top two teams at the district tournament advance to regional competition April 20.
The Celebration girls team also posted a 6-0 conference record, 8-4 overall. Sara Wu was unbeaten at No. 1 singles for the Lady Storm.
St. Cloud, Liberty, Harmony, Viera, Melbourne and Eau Gallie will join Celebration at the 3A-13 tournament.
Osceola and Gateway play at the 4A-8 tournament Tuesday at 9 a.m. at Whispering Pines in Port St. Lucie. The Poinciana boys compete at the 2A-8 tournament at Avon Park Monday at 9 a.m.
