The St. Cloud Police Department conducted a driver license and safety check April 7 at Lakeshore Boulevard and Wyoming Avenue that resulted in 38 citations and six verbal warnings.

Motorists were queued into the eastbound lane of Lakeshore Boulevard and asked to provide their license, vehicle registration and proof of insurance. The operation was to remind drivers of the importance of carrying required documents, the failure of which can merit a fine ranging from $113 to $116.
