Osceola County Sheriff's Office deputies are looking for a man who reportedly stole a woman's purse, knocking her to the ground.

The strong-arm robbery took place in Celebration, near 650 Campus St., where deputies responded at 10:22 p.m. Friday night. The victim told deputies she was walking toward the parking lot when a stranger took her purse and ran toward the woods.

Deputies, including a helicopter and K-9 units, searched the area but were unable to find a suspect. The victim said the suspect was a “light-skinned Hispanic male” in his late teens or early 20s, wearing a long-sleeve black shirt, tan shorts and black tennis shoes.

Anyone with information can call the Sheriff's Office at 407-348-2222 or anonymously to Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS. Tips to Crimeline that lead to felony arrests or recovery of drugs or stolen property are eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
