Hundreds of spectators watched and cheered on 10 Osceola County ranching teams during the second annual Ranch Rodeo sponsored by the Osceola County Cattlemen’s Association on Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Silver Spurs Kenansville Arena.
The top prize went to the Diamond S Cattle Company, with that team also earning a spot at the state Cattlemen’s rodeo at the Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee Oct 1-2.
Second place was awarded to Up U Ranch and third place was taken by the Snake Horse & Cattle Company.
Support for the Ranch Rodeo came from Kissimmee Convention & Visitors Bureau, Osceola News-Gazette, Silver Spurs Rodeo, Deseret Citrus & Cattle, Lynch Oil, Poffenbaugh Ford, Commerce Court Cabinets, state Rep. Mike Horner, Kenansville Country Store, Ratso Taxidermy, Osceola Farm Bureau, Wilder Sadlery, Everglades Tractor, House of Envy, Wrangler and Kissimmee Valley Feed & Ranch Supply.
Affiliated with the Florida Cattlemen’s Association, the Osceola County Cattlemen's Association is an organization dedicated to the betterment and preservation of Osceola County's cattle industry. Through education, charitable giving, scholarships, marketing, and other donations the local association strives to make a positive difference for local cattlemen as well as the community.
