Osceola High football coach Jeff Rolson Tuesday said that he was resigning to accept a similar job at Springfield Rutherford High, located near Panama City.

Rolson, the Kowboys coach for four seasons, had a 38-13 record and led Osceola to three consecutive playoff appearances.

His 2007 team, 14-1, played for the Class 5A state championship against St. Thomas Aquinas.

OHS Athletic Director Jim Bird said he and Principal Gary Preisser are reviewing resumes and that they expect to have the position filled soon after Rolson leaves, April 1.
