Paul Ueberroth, 50, of Mississippi, crashed his Toyota Corolla into the back of a Dodge van stopped for a red light at the highway's intersection with Arabian Nights Boulevard, patrol reports said. The driver was transported to the Florida Hospital Celebration Health, where he was pronounced dead.

The crash happened around 2:17 a.m. Tuesday. Ueberroth failed to see the stopped van or attempt to stop for it, troopers said. Both the driver of the van, 58-year-old Jose Valle-Monroig, of Puerto Rico, and passengers, 31-year-old Marisol Feliciano, of Colorado, and 27-year-old Maribel Valle, of New York, were uninjured.

Whether the crash was alcohol-related is still pending.
