Lisa Forty, of Kissimmee, signs in for the second Downtown Kiss-im-mee 5k or the “first 5k of many,” she said. She was nervous about running in the cold, but pulled through for the Pound Out Heart Disease event on Saturday, Feb. 13. The run began on Bryan Street.

Josh Devries, 27, of Kissimmee, and his son Jensen, 1, were applauded as they approached the registration table at the 5k early Saturday morning. Devries ran the entire race with his son in the stroller, equipped with plenty of juice and cheese crackers.
