Panther run
The Gateway track program will hold a 5K run today at 9 a.m. at the high school track. The registration begins at 8 a.m. The fee is $20.

SC lifters win
St. Cloud (57) defeated Poinciana (22) and Celebration (17) at a girls weightlifting meet Jan. 6 at St. Cloud.
Winners for the Lady Bulldogs - 101: Eliana Bonilla (85-90-175); 110: Annie Barberi (95-90-185); 119: Olivia Falkner (110-95-205); 129: Mindy Rodriguez (110-120-230); 139: Sabrina Lineburgh (110-100-210); Shaliena Davis (135-145-280); Unlimited: Kelsey Casselman (75-65-140). Poinciana’s Tinnesha Spells (110-100-210) won at 183, and Kandra Anderson (145-130-275) won at 199. Celebration’s Darby Richards (105-90-195) won at 154.

SC Little League
St. Cloud Little League will hold registration at the Little League concession stand on 17th Street today and Jan. 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Tryouts for players ages 9-14 will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today and Jan. 23.

Kiss. Little League
Kissimmee Little League registration and tryouts for the spring season are today, from 9 a.m. to noon, at the Oak Street ball fields, and from and 1 to 3 p.m. at the Denn John fields. Fees are $85 for the first child, $35 for the second child and $25 for each additional child. All children must bring birth certificates and three proofs of residency to registration.
 
Osc. Youth Softball
The Osceola Youth Softball League will hold spring registration at Oren Brown Field (3511 Baker Dr., Kissimmee) for girls ages 4-14 from 10 a.m. to noon today and Jan. 23.
Fees are $70 per per player and $65 for additional siblings. New players must provide a copy of a birth certificate.

Indoor soccer
The Kissimmee Athletics Division is accepting registration for a new Youth Indoor Soccer League through Jan. 22.
The co-ed, game-only league, will be available at the Denn John Middle School gym for students in grades 1-6.
The league is offered Feb. 6 to March 13. The registration fee is $45, $55 after Jan. 22.
Volunteer coaches are needed.

Poinciana Hoops
Poinciana Hoops co-ed youth basketball (ages 4-17) will hold registration weekends beginning today at the Avatar parking lot.
Registration times are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays through Feb. 7.
The fee is $75 and includes a jersey and insurance. The eight-week season at Poinciana High begins Feb. 27.

Shrine Game tickets
Members of the Kiwanis Club of Kissimmee are selling tickets to the East-West Shrine Game Jan. 23 at the Citrus Bowl.
Tickets are $50, $25 and $15. Proceeds from the college all-star game benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Open volleyball
The Kissimmee Athletics Division offers adult open gym volleyball at Denn John Middle School Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  The cost is $3 per player and clean, non-marking court shoes are required.
Youth open gym, for students in grades 6-12,  volleyball is scheduled for Fridays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. through January.

American Tennis
The American Tennis League (ATL) is accepting registration for children ages 10-and-under for its Quick Start Tennis Clinics.
The USTA (United States Tennis Association) Quick Start Tennis is an entry level program for new players. Quick Start Tennis will be held at the ATL complex located at the Ramada Inn, 6375 West Irlo Bronson Memorial Hwy. (across from Celebration).

Pavement Pounders
The St. Cloud Pavement Pounders non-profit running club welcomes new members of all ages.
The club meets each Tuesday and Thursday at 6:15 p.m. at Dicey Reilly’s Pub and Eatery on New York Avenue, next to city hall. First time visitors are encouraged to visit on Thursdays.
Tuesday is an open night, where runners train at their discretion. The club hosts a structured 5K run/walk on Thursday. Walkers begin at 6:45 p.m.; runners begin at 7 p.m. Skill levels range from beginners to marathon runners.

Kiss. adult soccer
The city of Kissimmee Athletics Division is accepting registration for an Adult 6-on-6 soccer league, which will be offered Feb. 6  to April 10 at the Lakeside Park Hockey Rink.
Athletes register as a team with a maximum of 12 players per team.
Teams can register Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 6 p.m or Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 7 p.m.
The fee is $425. This is a 10-game season with a single elimination tournament.
FIFA rules for indoor soccer will be recognized in this league. Games will take place Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

 Soccer lessons
Coach Hector, a former player and coach in Argentina, offers professional training for children ages 8-18 similar to the Argentina and Brazil minor league clubs. Call 407-933-2615.
Tennis league
The Osceola Tennis Network, a tennis league for fun and competition, meets Fridays at 6:30 p.m. at the Oak Street complex.
Also offered is USTA Junior Team Tennis, which meets Sundays at 4 p.m., and the Lady Slammers women’s league.

SC Aquatic Team
The St. Cloud Aquatic Team, a U.S. Swimming affiliate, welcomes swimmers of all ages. Participants 10-under must swim the length of the pool (25 yards) with a crawl stroke and back stroke. Swimmers age 11 and over must be able to swim front crawl with side breathing, back crawl and breaststroke. Swimmers may also participate in meets if they desire.

Water polo, diving
Youth ages 8-18 may join Toho Water Polo or Dive Osceola offered at the Makinson Aquatic Center in association with the Kissimmee Parks and Recreation Department.
No experience is necessary, but students must demonstrate swimming ability.

Strokes ‘N Fun
The Kissimmee Strokes ‘N Fun youth swimming team seeks members for its year-round program at the Makinson Aquatic Center.
The team practices Mondays-Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The fee is $40 per month. Children must be able to swim the length of the pool to participate. Stop by any Monday through Wednesday for a free tryout. For information call 407-870-POOL.
