A Kissimmee woman caught her boyfriend raping a 13-year-old girl early Christmas morning, the Osceola County Sheriff's Office reported.

At around 4 a.m., the woman awoke to find her boyfriend, 34-year-old Carlos Teran-Ponce, was not in bed. Upon searching the house, she saw a bedroom door ajar and opened it to find the 13-year-old on her knees in her bed with Teran-Ponce standing behind her.

Teran-Ponce ran from the room shouting, “I didn't do anything!” as the woman called 911. He tried to stop her, eventually grabbing the keys to his Toyota Tacoma to try to leave. His girlfriend stood in front of the truck to block him until deputies arrived.

Authorities found the girl on the living room floor, crying. She confirmed that Teran-Ponce had raped her, prompting his arrest.

The girl later told deputies that before she went to bed, Teran-Ponce gave her several sips of a drink with tequila in it, and whispered to her, “Go to bed and take your clothes off and we'll do it.” She also said Teran-Ponce had sexually battered her at other times, telling her not to tell anyone.

Teran-Ponce later confessed to each incident of abuse for which he was later charged: nine counts of sexual battery on a child by a person with custodial authority and 21 counts of lewd and lascivious molestation.
