The Osceola softball team (8-0) ran its winning streak to eight Thursday by beating Pine Castle Christian, 8-1.
Kenya Pereira struck out nine and Kali Jones went 3-for-4 and scored four runs for OHS. Freshman Haisette Escudero doubled and drove in two runs and Jessica Callahan and Chantal Crockett each had two hits. The Lady Kowboys blanked Lake Minneola, 15-0, Wednesday as Escudero doubled twice and drove in three runs. Crockett and Callahan homered.
Osceola visits Harmony Tuesday at 7 p.m. for an Orange Belt Conference contest.
Harmony’s baseball team (6-1) blanked Poinciana, 10-0, in the OBC Thursday as Omar Villamon struck out eight to earn the win and also doubled. PJ Musselman drove in three runs.
