Moms everywhere are going to love this.

Starting March 9, coupon clippers will have clipped out their last coupon if they shop at Publix supermarkets.

Publix begins its new online digital program Saturday state-wide. It has already begun in select locations.

Personally, I hate coupons. I probably should respect them more working for a newspaper, but if I take the time to cut out some coupon for tuna or dog food, I either promptly lose it in the car, if it makes it that far, or find it a drawer and it has an expiration date of December 31, 1997.

Well throw away those scissors. The digital age has dawned for coupon addicts.

I have already signed up at Publix.couponselectionpage.com even though my Publix of choice hasn’t yet gone digital.

It seems like a fairly easy enough process though. Go to the website. Register your name, email, a password and phone number and sign up.

Right there on that same coupon web page is the list of available Publix coupons. There must be at least eight pages of coupons, some with expiration coming up soon, to others that are several weeks away.

You simply click on the coupon(s) you want and they are registered to your account. It also keeps a running tab on how much money you save if you use all the clipped coupons.

After you are done “clipping” you can even email your coupon list to yourself for a reminder of which coupons you have selected (or bring the list with you come shopping time).

Plus, there also is a Publix app you can download to your phone (for Android and iPhones) that has all of your coupon information. The application also has the week’s daily specials, recipes and other store information.

Finally, when it is time to go grocery shopping, you can redeem your coupons by entering your registered phone number at checkout or by telling the cashier your registered phone number.

Your coupons are electronically matched against your purchases and automatically deducted from your bill.

Questions? Well don’t ask me, but you can call Publix customer care at 866-486-4292, weekdays before  9 p.m. or send them an email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Nickelodeon

You can now watch all of your favorite Nickelodeon shows (Mom, think what this might mean when you take the kids grocery shopping) on your iPad thanks to a new Nick app for Bright House Networks.

SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, iCarly, Victorious and more from the Nickelodeon lineup are just a click away with a Bright House account.

From the Bright House release:

The Nick App is jam-packed with more than 1,000 pieces of Nickelodeon-themed content, including short-form videos of original skits, sketch and comedic bits; behind-the-scenes clips and photos from Nick stars and animated characters; full-length episodes; and polls and games. The Nick App will add new content daily, and kids will be able to put selected content into a “favorites” drawer to watch whenever they want. True to the spirit of Nickelodeon, the app offers an array of funny interactive elements, as well as a featured “Do Not Touch” button that triggers an array of disruptive comedy and surprises.

Content highlights of the Nick App include:

•An offering of HTML5 games at launch, with a new game added every week;

•Music and remixes, including an original SpongeBob SquarePants remix created by electronic music artist Pogo, for launch;

•Weekly videos offering tips and previews of new Nick games;

• Short-form content featuring Nickelodeon’s live-action stars performing skits, comedic music videos, parodies and more;

•  “On the Road with BTR,” a docu-reality series that gives kids an inside look at the daily lives of Big Time Rush.

•Nick Studio 10, a new live, daily afternoon show where four kids challenge each other to make funny content every day, will be featured in the app and air on Nickelodeon beginning this spring.

You can download the app via the iTunes App Store. It will be available for Android and other devices in the coming weeks.

There is no extra charge for the app but to access Nickelodeon programming, customers must have the channel as part of their digital video service and a My Services account.
