Kissimmee Police Department detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying an attempted burglary suspect at a local market.

On Thursday morning around 11:15 a.m., officers responded to the Chamberlin’s Market and Café at 1114 N. John Young Parkway in reference to an attempted burglary.  Officers interviewed an employee who he went into the employee break room and heard a noise coming from the manager’s office. When he looked to see if it was the manager, he noticed a black male exit the office. The employee confronted the male and escorted him out of the store.

 

Surveillance video from inside the manager’s office shows the unidentified black male unsuccessfully attempt to open the safe. The video also shows him going through the filing cabinet, but took nothing of value before immediately being confronted as he exits the office.

The suspect is described as a black male approximately 6 feet tall and between 190 and 210 pounds with dark eyes and dark brown skin and graying facial hair. He was wearing a tan hat with no logos, a plaid lumberjack style shirt, gray T-shirt underneath with the word 'Florida' across the front chest area, gray jean pants and dark sneakers.
