Kowboys win Hutchins wrestling tournament PDF Print E-mail

Osceola won the Bishop Moore Michael Hutchins Invitational Saturday to complete its wrestling regular season tournament schedule.

OHS sent 10 to the finals and crowned six champions: Ariel Dominguez (106), Hakeem Butler (120), Fox Baldwin (145), Paul Zupofska (152), Chris Pagan (195) and Franklyn Lantigua (285).

Baldwin (43-0) and Pagan (39-0) remained unbeaten. Dominguez is 38-1.

The Kowboys hosted Orange City University Wednesday for Senior Night and then joins Gateway, Liberty and five other teams at the 3A-5 district tournament at Liberty Feb. 1.

Osceola’s JV team won at Okeechobee with Tyler Schultz, Deven Acevedo, Joseph Periera, Andrew Conners and Daltyn Horak.

Osceola’s girls competed at the Cypress Creek Invitational with

Rose Donaldson claiming a title and Amanda Purcell and Jayna Glover each placing second.

Liberty will host the girls state invitational Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
