A registered felon was arrested and charged with grand theft by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Thursday after allegedly stealing items from a neighbor’s car.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a Pershing Street home in Kissimmee in reference to a suspicious person call.

 

The complainant reported seeing her neighbor, Alexander Bokalitz, 24, of 2902 Pershing St., Kissimmee, looking in her bedroom window. Deputies attempted to locate Bokalitz but were unable to make contact with him.

Several hours later, deputies returned to the victim’s home after the residents said several items had been stolen from their unlocked cars. They told deputies approximately $350 dollars of items, including gift cards, a cell phone, charger, an air freshener and money, were missing.

Deputies made contact with Bokalitz, who lives three houses away from the victims. His girlfriend allowed deputies to enter the home where they recovered the stolen items. Based on the information and evidence, Bokalitz, a registered felon, was arrested and charged with two counts of grand theft unoccupied car burglary, loitering and prowling and petit theft, and was booked into the Osceola County Jail.
