In an effort to raise awareness and support for Special Olympics, Sheriff Bob Hansell and Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies will participate in various Tip-A-Cop events. The public is invited to attend.Osceola County sheriff’s deputies will work as waiters and their tips will benefit Special Olympics, a nonprofit organization that provides year-round sports training and athletic competition to more than 2.2 million people with intellectual disabilities in more than 150 countries. Last year, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office raised more than $21,000 to support Special Olympics’ programs and services. The times and locations will be:

• 5 to 9:30 p.m., Friday,  Jan. 11, at Outback Steakhouse, 4037 13th St., St. Cloud.

• 7 to 10 a.m., Feb. 16, at Woodsby’s Cafe, 4515 S. Orange Blossom Trail, Kissimmee.

• 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Feb. 26, at Sonny’s Real Pit Bar-B-Q, 4475 13th St., St. Cloud.

• 5 to 9:30 p.m., March 8, at Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill, 2911 Vineland Road, Kissimmee.
