Yeah baby!

Osceola County can claim the honor of the first baby born in 2013 in Central Florida.

Osceola Regional Medical Center’s Baby Suites welcomed the baby at 12:12 a.m. on Tuesday.

Zulma Medrano and husband, Carlos Santoyo, parents of four daughters, welcomed a son in a natural birth as everyone was celebrating the New Year.

Central Florida’s first baby arrived weighing 7 pounds, 10 ounces and was 20 inches long.

According to a hospital press release, the parents were overjoyed with the arrival of their son.

“I feel like I’m lucky,” said Medrano, who is from El Salvador.

The couples’ four daughters could not be happier as they observed in awe their baby brother’s facial expressions, the press release stated.
