A Kissimmee man suffered serious injuries Sunday after he lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a Poinciana house.

According to Florida Highway Patrol reports, Trevor Ricketts, 45, of Kissimmee, was driving a 2005 Nissan Altima eastbound on Country Club Road at about 5:55 a.m., approaching  the intersection of Cypress Drive, when he failed  to drive in a safe manner, patrol reports said.

Failing to navigate the curve of the roadway, Ricketts lost control of the vehicle and left the eastbound land and crossed the median of Cypress Drive.  He then collided with a wooden fence and then the house on Spoon Place.  A victim in the house suffered minor injuries.

Ricketts was charged with careless driving.
