West is best at volleyball all-stars

Players and coaches gather during the first Osceola County Senior All-Star volleyball game played recently at Florida Christian College. The West All-Stars won the three-game match.

The inaugural Osceola County Senior All-Star volleyball game was held Dec. 2 at Florida Christian College, where the West All-Stars beat the East 25-22, 25-12, 21-25.

The West team included Osceola’s Kristina Wendland, Lorrain Hoyos, Ninoshka Andujar and Savanna Escobar; Liberty’s Melanie Martinez and Antonella Scarpatti; St. Cloud’s Sarah Sullivan and Kristel Calle; and City of Life’s Gabriella Carrion.
The East All-Stars were Harmony’s Genesis Viera, Kaitlyn Spicer, Allison VanTassel, Aubrey Runnels, Adrienne Roberts and Kendall Pollock; Southland Christian’s Gabby Hermosa and Sheena Fletcher; Celebration’s Alexandra Stephan and Liberty’s Tara Rosemond and Khayla Smith.
