Osceola County Sheriff's detectives are still searching for two at-large suspects who purposely rammed a deputy's vehicle while fleeing a retail theft, and are asking for the public's help in locating the fleeing male and female.

On Tuesday at approximately 5:10 p.m., deputies responded to Walmart at 3250 Vineland Road in Kissimmee after store security had contacted law enforcement in reference to a retail theft. While on scene, a deputy was told a male suspect was still inside the store heading towards the garden section.

Several minutes later, the deputy saw Walmart security following the male suspect out of the garden center.

The male suspect was observed climbing into the back seat of a red Ford Taurus with Florida license plate 792 YKZ. As the deputy approached the vehicle, coming from the opposite direction, he activated his emergency lights and siren. The female driver of the vehicle saw the deputy and intentionally struck the front of his car before making a U-turn and driving towards Poinciana Boulevard. Although the deputy was not injured, there was extensive damage to the vehicle, police said.

The deputy continued to follow the red Taurus northbound on State Road 535 and eventually onto State Road 417 before pulling off to the side due to the earlier car damage. The deputy observed the red Taurus driving in the wrong direction on 417 and hit the driver's side mirror of a car that swerved to get out of its way. Further investigation revealed the license plate on the suspect's vehicle had been reported stolen out of Volusia County in early September.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff's Office at 407-348-2222 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477). Calls made to Crimeline remain anonymous, and tips that lead to the felony arrest of suspects and/or the recovery of stolen property and drugs are eligible for cash rewards of up to $1,000.
