The city of St. Cloud Parks and Recreation staff is preparing for the upcoming November activities, including:Brent Fullwood Adult Flag Football League – Registration for this league is under way at the Civic Center (3001 17th St.) and it ends today. Cost is $325 per team. A mandatory managers meeting is set for Nov. 5, 6:30 p.m., Hopkins Park (620 E. 17th St.). A penalty for no-shows will be assessed at a minus eight points for the first game of the season. Games begin Nov. 10 at Stephanie Leigh Rothstein Memorial Park (2701 Missouri Ave.).

Let’s Kick It Adult Kickball League – Registration for this league is under way and it ends Nov. 26. Cost is $225 per team (must be coed). A mandatory managers meeting is set for Nov. 28 at 6 p.m. at the Civic Center. A penalty for no-shows will be assessed at a minus two runs for the first game of the season. Games begin Dec. 7 at the Civic Center.

Coupon Class – Learn how to clip for savings during a free coupon class Nov. 1, from 6-7:30 p.m., at the Civic Center’s Gym A. Refreshments will be served and canned goods will be accepted for the St. Cloud Community Pantry. Registration is required.

Fishing Tournament – The Borrow Pit Pond Youth Fishing Tournament is set for Saturday from 7-9 a.m. at Barrow Pit Pond (off of Budinger Avenue, across the street from St. Cloud Elementary School). Registration is recommended and cost is $5 per child, ages 3-15 years old. All participants must bring fishing poles and tackle; bait will be provided.

Step Aerobics – This new class with Jordan begins Nov. 5, every Monday and Wednesday, from 6:15-7 p.m. and 7:15-8 p.m., at the Civic Center’s room 2. Cost is $2 per person/per class.

Marina Building Banquet Hall Open House: Nov. 7 from 4-7 p.m. and Nov. 14, from 4-7 p.m. The Marina Building Banquet Hall is at 1104 Lakeshore Blvd., second floor. While enjoying a free open house, remember to check out the interactive multimedia kiosk on the first floor’s lobby area.

Movie at the Lakefront – November’s movie will be “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted” and it will be shown Nov. 9, starting at sunset. A family movie is shown at Lakefront Park every month on a giant inflatable movie screen. This year-round monthly program is free to the community.

Teddy Bear Picnic – Children ages 2-5 years old are invited to bring their favorite teddy bear to participate in a Teddy Bear Parade Nov. 10, from noon-2 p.m. at Veteran’s Park (1201 13th St.). There will be games, face painting, craft projects and sweet treats. It’s $2 per child. Children must bring their lunch and teddy bear.

Urban Agriculture Program – A Starting a Winter Vegetable Garden class for ages 14 and up is scheduled for Nov. 17, from 9-11 a.m., at Peghorn Nature Park. Registration is required. Cost is $8 per person.

Community Thanksgiving Celebration – Everyone is invited to partake in this traditional event Nov. 17, from noon-2 p.m., at the Civic Center. Admission is free, but donations of nonperishable food items for the St. Cloud Community Pantry are welcome and everyone is invited to bring a covered dish or dessert (if able to) to share with others.

Kids Night Out – November’s Kids Night Out is a Campfire and Trail Night with games, movie and marshmallow toasting over a campfire Nov. 17, from 7-11 p.m., at Peghorn Nature Park (2101 Peghorn Way). Children should have insect repellent applied before arrival. Cost is $10 per child (dinner and dessert included). The Kids Night Out program offers supervised care and fun activities for children ages 6-11 while parents enjoy an evening to themselves.

Day Camp  – Three day camps are set for Nov. 19, 20 and 21 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Civic Center, for children registered in kindergarten up to 14-years-old. Cost per day/per child is $20 for Osceola County residents and $25 for non-Osceola County residents. Reduced rates are available for those who qualify. Registration is required.

Tree Lighting Ceremony – Nov. 30, from 6-9 p.m., at the City Hall courtyard. Activities include games, musical performances, crafts, “snow,” concessions and photos with Santa Claus.
