        Missing Jack Russell Terrier

Kissimmee Police Department detectives actively seek a grand theft suspect who stole a resident’s dog.

On Oct. 24, an unknown suspect vandalized a home in Creekside Estates in Kissimmee and took the victim’s Jack Russell Terrier and left a note telling the victim they had her dog. A witness described an older model sedan, possibly a gold or silver Toyota Camry leaving the area around the time of the incident, spokesperson Stacie Miller said.

The dog is valued at approximately $1,000, responds to the name Leia, is spayed and is equipped with a microchip. Anyone with possible information on the dog’s whereabouts is asked to contact KPD at 407-846-3333 or by e-mail at seeitsayit@kissimmee.org or CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477). Should the dog be located, it can be dropped off at the police department or at the Osceola County Animal Control Shelter, 3910 Old Canoe Creek Road in St. Cloud.
