The sixth-annual Hispanic Heritage Festival and Health Fair will be Sunday, Oct. 21, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Vance Harmon Park.
This is a fun-filled, family event. The park will be filled with venders of all types, from T-shirts to jewelry to health care providers offering free tests and services. Because it is an election year, plenty of candidates will be on hand, available to meet with and speak to constituents.
It wouldn’t be a party without food and drink. Numerous venders will be selling multi-cultural foods and beverages. There will be something there for even the pickiest eaters.
The music will be a huge draw. Both live entertainment and a DJ will play Spanish music from salsa to cambia to reggae-tone. Live entertainment features Ballet Folklorico Lanzo, Ivran Y Su Charanza, La Orquesta Del Pueblo, Goro Y Su Conjunto Galaxico,  Special guest artists are Anthony La Makina from Puerto Rico and from New York, Hector Tricoche.
For the sixth year, this festival is presented by Promociones Culturea y Herencia Hispana and Miryam Santiago. It is always a party, always a fun way to wrap up Hispanic Heritage Month. This event is free and open to the public. Vance Harmon Park is at 699 Country Club Road, Poinciana.
