Fans of Paramount Pictures’ “PARANORMAL ACTIVITY” franchise have been heard as they determined which cities across the globe will see the highly anticipated fourth installment first on October 16, three days before the film’s theatrical release.  Participants all over the world voted for their city through the film’s “Want It” application on Facebook. Orlando is one of those cities.

The 25 cities that received the most votes and earned a free screening of “PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 4” are Lima, Peru; São Paulo, Brazil; Lake Bluff, IL; Mexico City, Mexico; Brasília, Brazil; Los Angeles, CA; Fresno, CA; Purchase, NY; Houston, TX; Bogotá, Colombia; Moscow, Russia; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; New York, NY; London, UK; Paris, France; Minneapolis, MN; Chicago, IL; Santiago, Chile; Munich, Germany; Sheffield, UK; Toronto, Canada; San Antonio, TX; Göteborg, Sweden and Orlando, FL .

“Want It” is a dynamic application utilizing Facebook’s open graph technology that gave fans the opportunity to vote to bring the franchise to their city and leverage their social networks to ensure they were one of the top 25 winning locations.  Audiences were able to track the top cities as well as the ranking of their own city and push out reminders encouraging friends to vote.  “Want It” brought an unprecedented level of interactivity for fans in determining screenings of the movie, with a quarter of a million votes counted.
