Osceola County Sheriff's detectives arrested a man for allegedly robbing another man of his bicycle and necklace. Evan Keim Richards, of 2408 Stoney Way in Kissimmee, was arrested Wednesday and charged with robbery, battery and grand theft.

The investigation began Wednesday at approximately 11:15 a.m. when deputies responded to the Partin Plaza Village parking lot located at 2338 East Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee.

Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the victim who said he left his bike outside the liquor store. He saw two black males, one inside the store and one waiting outside the store. When he exited the store, his bike was missing.

The victim said when he began to call 911 from his cell phone, one of the suspects, later identified as Richards, 22, threatened him and ripped his necklace off his neck before leaving the area.

Richards and the other male ran across the street to Cobblestone Apartments. Deputies with the assistance of Aviation and K-9 Units searched the area and located Richards in one of the apartments.

He was taken into custody and cooperated with the investigation. Based on the information he provided and the evidence recovered, Richards was arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail.
